Apple Store - Sydney

Went to the Apple store opening in Sydney since it's the first ever store in Australia and I live in Sydney. There was a long ass, huge line on the street up back but none to the side so we had no idea there was a fucking line, just the line of around up the front which we thought was it. Those were the people who travelled on planes just to be here. So obviously, once we found out there was a line, we didn't bother lining up. They were going to take groups of like 80 or something to the store at a time so it would have taken forever. Didn't get to go in the store but there were heaps of people surrounding across the street anyway. Took a few pics. They started letting the overseas people at exactly 5pm. The store looks amazing btw. Obviously. It's Apple.

Headed over to JB-Hifi to get a new iPod Nano/8GB/Black and an iClear case for it. I had to ask the sales guy to get it but he was showing this lady a camera. He was like "Okay, I'll get you the it but you need to do one thing for me, keep an eye on this lady and don't let her run away" so then I was the security person for 30 secs. I also got aHe scanned the items and gave me an order receipt so you pay at the checkout then come back to get the item. The iPod was $249 and the case was $30 so that was like $279 but he gave me a discount (for no apparent reason) so totalled it as $260. Went to the checkout, gave the chick $300 and she gave me $60 change and asked if I wanted a bag.

How fucking stupid are checkout chicks? Firstly, giving me an extra $20 then asking me if I wanted a bag for nothing? Since I didn't have the actual items yet. ROFL.

Needless to say, I didn't correct her mistake, went to retrieve my items, thanked the guy and left. $40 off. Happy.

Linh, Kay, Billy and I went to eat afterwards. We followed Kay around Circular Quay as she was trying to find Meat & Wine Co. but failed. The walking killed my feet but we finally settled for Cafe Extra where they had this newspaper themed shit. Oh, did I mention it was raining as well? So I went to the restroom to blow-dry my hair on the hand dryers. We all had steak and chit chat.

Headed on the trains back to Cabra, drove Linh home after we had to wait for Kenny to come so Linh could lend him $20 (I am not even going to get into that story). Drove to Darren's aka Kay's boyfriend/Billy's friend place and got him to come out. Like I needed to pee by now. Went to Liverpool to play pool. Darren and Kay vs Billy and I. We were like solids and there was just the black ball, 1 solid and 1 stripe left but both on the side below the line so we kept taking turns trying to rebound shot to hit the balls. Billy was in a stance ready to hit, and sick of missing, I just pushed the back of the stick and the ball on the rebound and hit our solid which went in a hole. ROFL. Fucking luck man. So we won the first round. Lost the second round coz Billy got the black ball in when there was only 1 stripe left (we were stripes 2nd round).

Headed to Maccas drive-thru and ate cones in the car. God, the radio music at night is so fucking gay. Headed home afterwards.

Nice night, especially the discount at JB HIFI(VEEEE!!!)

I've had various (friendly) discussions with my friends over operating systems and have always concluded that Vista sucked. Of course, they would base my opinion on the fact that I now have (and love) Mac and my MBP. No, I am basing my opinion on fact, a fact even Microsoft itself unfortunately admits by action.

I watched Linh's Taiwan remake of the manga Hanakimi and the main character guy is hot. He's in a band with Jiro (who's also in the film) and 2 other guys.

Linh's obsessed with Jiro. Way obsessed. Yeah, Jiro's cute (maybe too cute) and his character in Hanakimi would make the perfect best friend to have fun with (loved him in Hanakimi) but he also looks cute dressed as a girl. There's slightly something weird about that in my opinion.

What adds to Wu (and Jiro's) hotness is they know English. God forbid any hot Asians to be English illiterate! Maybe it's just me but a guy, no matter how hot he was, who doesn't speak English loses 20% on my hot radar.

One of the other members in their band, Calvin (see below), looks like Kenny (Linh's ex. who all her friends including myself hold a grudge on), who looks like an alien crossed with Michael Jackson to me. Although, Linh reckons he looks better than Kenny (how awful does that make Kenny look?) and that Calvin is still as hot as the other 3. No. Fucking. Way.

I came across this person named Christopher De Jesus who I needed to call. Thank god noone picked up though because imagine what I'd be like. "Hi there, is this De Jesus?" and everyone in the phone room would look at me weird thinking I'm asking for Jesus Christ.

So since I got a MBP which cost me more than my budget can handle (repaying my mom $200 a month now), I HAD to get something pretty to protect it right?

I purchased a lovely looking bag with dimensions which fit my MBP perfectly. Too perfectly.

It arrived today. I could only squeeze it in. My mom doubts it does fit. "It fits, it fits okay? Look (showing her my MBP (too) snuggly inside the case) and please shut up" just to get her to shut up. I guess I'll give it to Linh now since her laptop's smaller and would likely fit. Damn. It was a nice bag.

It's a good thing it only cost me $15 including postage. I have now washed an old (but hardly used) leather satchel bag so my mother would give me a break for being stupid by not buying that Belkin bag I've been eyeing from frustration but rather reusing something I already have.

I should have reused before even looking into buying a laptop bag. I, a bag addict, <exaggeration> own several wardrobes of bags </exaggeration>. It comes back to my mother really, who INSISTED I get a proper "laptop bag".
